Hai, Miiko! (こっちむいて！みい子 Kocchimuite! Miiko) adalah manga yang bercerita tentang gadis kelas 5 SD yang bernama Yamada Miiko beserta dengan teman-temannya. Sebenarnya ada versi terdahulu dari Hai, Miiko! ini, judulnya Namaku Miiko! tapi hanya sampai jilid 4 saja. Isi ceritanya sama, tapi di jilid 1 Miiko dan teman-teman masih duduk di kelas 4 SD. Saat ini komik Hai, Miiko! ini sudah sampai jilid 23 dan diceritakan dalam Miiko Fanbook kalau Miiko sudah kelas 5 SD.

Kadangkala Miiko ditertawakan oleh teman-temannya karena tinggi Miiko kira-kira hanya 122 cm,terutama oleh Tappei temannya. walaupun Tappei sering mengejeknya tetapi Tappei memiliki perasaan pada Miiko. Dalam manga ini, selalu diceritakan keseharian Miiko dan kawan-kawan. Karakter :

• Yamada Miiko = Seorang anak kelas 5 SD yang tingginya hanya 122 cm, sering disangka anak TK oleh orang lain. Miiko lahir tanggal 5 Mei, zodiaknya Taurus. Ia bersekolah di SD Suginoki. Miiko anak yang periang, penuh emosi, serampangan, kadang malas tapi setia kawan. Hobinya makan. Terkadang Miiko sangat polos, ia tidak tahu kalau Tappei dan Yoshida menyukainya. Tetapi, kalau Miiko disinggung-singgung soal pacar, Tappei-lah yang ada diingatan Miiko.

• Shimura Mari = Sahabat Miiko, ia lebih tinggi 8 cm dari Miiko tapi ia lebih gemuk. Mari lahir tanggal 1 Agustus zodiaknya Leo. Keras kepala, tak mau kalah tapi setia kawan. Mari bercita-cita menjadi komikus dan ia mengikuti kelas komik, ia tak pernah putus asa meski karyanya ditolak dan ia harus menetap di kelas C. Mari adalah anak bungsu di keluarganya.

• Ogawa "Yukko" Yuuko = Sahabat Miiko dan Mari, ia termasuk anak yang tinggi di kelasnya. Yukko baik, pendiam, penuh perhatian dan suka mengurus orang, ia juga terampil membuat kerajinan tangan dan pintar masak. Ia pacaran dengan Kenta, teman sekelasnya. Yukko sangat mengutamakan persahabatan. Ia selalu mendamaikan Miiko dan Mari yang sering bertengkar. Tanggal lahirnya 14 Maret.

• Eguchi Tappei = Teman sekelas Miiko yang suka mengejek Miiko tapi sebenarnya Tappei suka dengan Miiko. Ia agak kasar tapi sebetulnya baik, tapi tak pernah bisa bicara dengan tulus. Tappei termasuk anak yang disukai cewek-cewek di kelasnya. Tappei jago dalam cabang olahraga apa saja, ia suka bermain basket dan baseball. Ia bersahabat dengan Kenta.

• Satou Kenta = Anak pemilik bakery Satou, ia pacar Yukko. Kenta orangnya lucu, santai dan periang, pencerah suasana. Ia adalah teman Miiko di tempat penitipan saat masih kecil.

• Yoshida Ikuya = Murid teladan di kelas, ia menyukai Miiko dan sering bersaing dengan Tappei untuk mendapatkan Miiko. Yoshida orang yang pendiam, tenang dan sangat pintar.

• Tanimura Miho = Teman sekelas Miiko yang sangat menyukai Tappei, ia iri dengan kedekatan Miiko dan Tappei yang membuatnya benci Miiko. Miho orang yang sangat feminin dan modis. Ia selalu berusaha mendekati Tappei. Tapi Tappei tidak punya perasaan apa-apa terhadap Miho.

• Nomura Yoshiki = Teman sekelas Miiko, ia bercita-cita jadi sutradara film. Ia menyukai Miho dan berjuang agar Miho bisa mendekati Tappei hanya untuk melihatnya tersenyum. Yoshiki agak kasar tapi orangnya serius.

• Yamada Mamoru = Adik Miiko yang lebih muda setahun dari Miiko. Ia suka mengerjakan pekerjaan rumah tangga dan jago masak, ia juga suka baseball. Ia sangat sayang sama adiknya Momo. Ia juga sayang Miiko meski sering marahan dengan Miiko. Mamoru pacaran dengan Yuka.

• Yamada Momo = Adik Miiko yang masih bayi.
